Cylindrical roller thrust bearings
single row, brass cage

推力圆柱滚子轴承

Description

Cylindrical roller thrust bearings offer stiff and shock-proof supports with high bearing capacity. The bearings can carry very high forces in an axial direction, but no radial forces. They permit oblique arrangement of shaft and housing. Cylindrical roller thrust bearings are detachable, not self-contained. They are composed of cylindrical thrust roller cage assemblies, shaft washer and housing washer.

Dimensions/standards

In cylindrical roller thrust bearings, the main dimensions are standardized according to ISO 104 (Roller bearings – thrust bearings – boundary dimensions), DIN 616 (Roller bearings– boundary dimensions) and DIN 722 (Cylindrical roller thrust bearings, one direction).

Tolerances

As the default, we manufacture our cylindrical roller thrust bearings with standard tolerances (PN) according to DIN 620-3 (Roller bearing tolerances – tolerances for thrust bearings) and ISO 199 (Thrust bearings – geometric product specification and tolerances). We deliver bearings in other tolerance classes or special tolerances upon request.

Bearing design types

SLF manufactures cylindrical roller thrust bearings in the 811 and 812 series. These are single row cylindrical roller thrust bearings, one direction.
Cylindrical roller thrust bearings, one direction, can carry high axial forces in one direction, but no radial loads.

SLF can also produce cylindrical roller thrust bearings in two directions upon request. These bearings carry axial loads in two directions. They are composed of two cylindrical thrust roller cage assemblies, the appropriate shaft or housing washers, and an intermediate washer.

Cage

As the default, cylindrical roller thrust bearings are equipped with a solid brass cage driven by rolling elements. Other cage design types can be delivered upon request.

Working temperature

SLF cylindrical roller thrust bearings with a maximum 120 mm outer diameter are standard stabilized in dimensions by S0, meaning that they are subjected to heat treatment that makes them usable up to 150 °C. Above a 120 mm outer diameter, the cylindrical roller thrust bearings are standard stabilized in dimensions by S1, meaning that they are heat treated to make them usable up to a working temperature of 200 °C. However, as a rule, the maximum working temperature is not limited by the dimensional stability of the bearing rings and rolling elements. In many cases, it is limited by the cage or the lubricant. Please find the necessary information in the relevant chapters. If you are uncertain or have specific questions regarding our bearings’ temperature limits, don’t hesitate to contact the SLF team.

Greasing/lubrication & sealing

We manufacture cylindrical roller thrust bearings without seals. Consequently, the bearing location must be sealed around/ on the surrounding components. The sealing must ensure that no moisture and/ or contaminants can enter the bearing and that no lubricant is lost.

The cylindrical roller thrust bearings are delivered ungreased but must be lubricated with oil or grease. Choose the lubricant according to the application.

For statically loaded cylindrical roller bearings, always inspect the static load safety factor S0 in addition to the nominal lifetime L (L10h).

Axial minimum load

To avoid slippage between elements in contact, the cylindrical roller thrust bearings must be sufficiently loaded. For this purpose, a minimal axial load Fa min is necessary.
In vertical bearing arrangements, the axial load resulting from the weight of the components run on bearings combined with the external forces is higher alone than the minimal load required.
Should this value not be met, contact an SLF application technician.
